Terms of use

Clear terms for a record you control.

Taxora helps organize receipt information. You remain responsible for checking extracted values, preserving source receipts, and deciding how to use or share your records.

Effective: July 10, 2026 Version: Taxora 0.1.0 Operator: Halionix

The important points

Taxora is a bookkeeping aid, not a tax filing or professional-advice service. OCR can be wrong, local data can be lost, and you must review and back up records that matter to you.

You verify the record Confirm extracted fields against the receipt image.
You control the backup V1 does not include automatic Taxora cloud backup.
No professional advice Consult a qualified professional for filing decisions.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Taxora mobile application and related public pages operated by Halionix. By downloading or using Taxora, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

The terms of the app store from which you obtained Taxora also apply. If a mandatory app-store term conflicts with these terms, the mandatory store term controls to the extent required.

2. What Taxora does

Taxora lets you capture or import receipt images, run on-device optical character recognition, review extracted bookkeeping fields, save confirmed records locally, view audit history, and create exports.

Taxora V1 does not include a Taxora account, cloud synchronization, paid subscription, automatic tax filing, or a guarantee that any expense qualifies for a tax deduction.

3. License to use Taxora

Subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules, Halionix grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Taxora for lawful personal or internal business bookkeeping.

You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Taxora except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Your receipt content

You retain your rights in receipt images, notes, custom fields, and exports you create or import. You are responsible for having permission to store and use that content.

Taxora processes this content on your device to provide the functions you request. Do not use Taxora to store unlawful content or information you are not permitted to possess.

5. OCR and record accuracy

Optical character recognition and receipt parsing are imperfect. Faded paper, glare, folds, handwriting, bilingual text, unusual layouts, refunds, multiple tax lines, and suggested tips can produce missing or incorrect fields.

You must compare extracted fields with the original receipt before confirming or relying on a record. Keep source receipts when required by your accountant, tax authority, employer, insurer, or applicable law.

6. Local records and backups

Taxora V1 stores working records locally. Deleting the app, clearing application data, losing or damaging a device, an operating-system failure, or an unsuccessful device migration may remove those records.

You are responsible for creating ZIP or other exports and keeping them in a location you control. Taxora V1 does not promise automatic cloud backup, cross-device restoration, or recovery of data that exists only on your device.

7. No tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice

Taxora organizes information but does not determine eligibility, deductions, tax treatment, filing requirements, audit sufficiency, reimbursement eligibility, or legal compliance. Taxora does not replace a qualified tax professional, accountant, lawyer, or financial adviser.

You are responsible for decisions made from your records and for meeting applicable retention, filing, and payment obligations.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Taxora to violate law, infringe another person's rights, misrepresent records, facilitate fraud, distribute malicious code, disrupt the application, or attempt unauthorized access to another device or service.

9. App stores and sharing destinations

Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, your operating system, and any destination you select for an export operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Halionix does not control those services.

When you share a Taxora export through email, cloud storage, messaging, or another application, you are responsible for the destination and the information included.

10. Taxora ownership

Taxora, its software, interface, branding, and original materials are owned by Halionix or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Taxora to you.

11. Availability and updates

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue Taxora features to improve the product, address security or legal requirements, or maintain compatibility. An update may require a supported operating-system version.

We do not promise that Taxora will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every receipt, device, operating system, or sharing destination.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Taxora is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Halionix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost records, profits, revenue, business opportunities, tax benefits, or data arising from your use of or inability to use Taxora.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

14. Ending your use

You may stop using Taxora at any time and uninstall it. Export records you want to keep before uninstalling or clearing application data.

Halionix may restrict access to future versions or distribution where required by law, store policy, security, or a material violation of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Taxora, app-store requirements, or applicable obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated terms where permitted by law.
